My life as Mommy & wife just got a WHOLE lot bigger.

New Years Resolutions!

So here it is, 4 months into the year!
Who lived up to their new years resolutions?
Here in the Williams house, our new years resolution was to "do better with money" and to loose weight!.

I am doing good with one of the two, and I HATE to say this..BUT.. I would rather them be switched around.. I am loosing the weight I wanted to!. but the money thing isn't where I want it to be!.
We have this problem with "impulse"buying. The type of buying where "I WANT THAT" seems more like " I NEED THAT".... and feeling guilty about "having that" after we "get it"..
Make sense?

Now that we are home owners I think its time to get serious about saving money!!.
Not only for our house, but for our family.
Life is full of "what ifs" and most of the "what ifs" cost A LOT of money!.
I have set my goal!. and now its time to live up to it!! NO more just buying because I want it, I think its time to weigh out the wants and the needs. and even find ways around our needs to save some money!!(coupons, sale items, bulk)
now lets see if I can get my husband to think like this!!
I just hate being the one to tell him NO. I wish I could give him everything he wants.. (which is a lot) but we just don't have the money for that.. (or garage space)
SO wish us luck on our journey of "saving money"& the completion of our weight loss.. I have 8lbs to go!(but still need to tone up ) and seem to be doing great!. I would love to get a gym membership and start going everyday!. but for now I will stick to my work out DVDs, and my stairs!.

The Little Things In Life!

Yesterday while cleaning my living room floor...My husband walks in the door with Flowers!!.

It doesn't really seem like a big deal to most people..

This is something MY husband just doesn't do... and I really didn't know what to do, or think, or even say.. I couldn't even take them from him..(not to mention i had cleaner all over my hands)
I really didn't show him HOW grateful i was..as i stood their in total shock!. Hali was just as excited!!. She kept running around saying "mommy daddy got you flowers, that's so nice!!"

Zachry and I have been together for over 5 years now, during the first year (dating) we had our ups and downs, But zach would do sweet things like this all the time.. he would "try" and the flowers brought back all those memories of things he would do for me. I guess little things in life bring back great memories!

I am pretty lucky to have such an amazing guy in my life, and I sometimes take him for granted.

He is an amazing father to my children, and provides me with a wonderful life!.

I fell in love with a boy back in high school, that became a man I could of never dreamed of! =)

Potty training (are we done yet)

Hali is 2 years old now!, I can't even believe how fast my little girl grew up!. she has always been one that has to do things early, example: she got her first tooth at 3 months she started crawling at 6 months, walking at 8 1/2months talking really early, and clear!. well she started showing signs of potty training when she was about 13 months old, yes it was early but we thought WHY NOT!. well she did really good for a little while, then wanted NOTHING to do with it, then my MIL came down to visit and we started again. Imagine all of us sitting on her pink potty trying to get her to use it! (all of us meaning, her Grammy, Uncle Michael, Uncle Patrick, Tia Nannie, Zachry, and myself. still she wanted NOTHING to do with it. A few months past and she would go when she wanted to . but it had to be HER idea!. Then it got close to me having the Gavin, Hali went to stay with her Grammy. we would call and talk to her every night!. and each night she would tell us what a big girl she was going potty!!. she stayed at Grammies for about a week, when she came home she was a BIG SISTER!. what a big deal that was for her!. that was also a big deal for her potty training!! yet again she wanted nothing to do with it!.. Brother had diapers on, and got changed alot, with extra attention. she Hali wanted to wear diapers too!. we did the pull up thing for awhile, but that didn't work too well, because she KNEW she could still potty in them! she does REALLY good when shes just in big girl panties!. so that's it!. that's how we did it!. No diapers No pull ups! JUST big girl panties! (with Dora on them, she cant pee on Dora).
Today was a big day for her!. while i was putting laundry away i heard her singing some song about #2, so i came out of my closet and went looking for her, She has a step stool in my bathroom, and she climbed up all by herself and went #2!. and for the rest of the day when she has to go, she gets up all by herself, and goes potty!. =)
I know its a silly thing to blog about!.
but i have been trying for SO long to get her out of pull ups!, to take the "next step" with her. It just seems like every time we get close , she back tracks!! from wanting to be a "baby" and getting more attention , or because shes sick, and just cant hold it!.
I'm so proud of my big girl!!. and hope she keeps this up!!.

An OVER due update!! =)

I think it is time for me to keep this thing updated.

First off i want to start off with an update!.

Jan 09, we packed up and moved to GA, we said goodbye to some great friends!, and Hello to new ones!. I left NC a few weeks before the move with Hali, to find a house to rent, then went back to NC to help pack up the house and get moved!. Thanks the great friends we had their we where able to get the house packed and cleaned on time and turned back into military housing!. the same day we packed up we had zachrys "goodbye " lunch. it was also his good buddy butterfields lunch as well, then we hit the road!. for the long drive ahead of us to good ol Georgia!.

we ended up living in a hotel for about a week, until we got everything with the rental house settled.

Before we moved to GA I joined NWAtlantamommies.com, to get a head start and idea on the living around here. I noticed someone was having a "pure romance party" and thought it would be fun to just get out and meet some new people!! and that's just what i did!

I went to Meghan's house not knowing one person!!. They where all VERY welcoming! and took me under their wing!!. I did notice alot of pregnant people!. =) And made the comment "it must be in the water" sure enough it was in the water!!.. a few weeks later i found out i was pregnant!!..

9 months later I gave birth to my beautiful son Gavin Ryan Williams! (oct 27th 2009).

8 days later we celebrated Hali's 2ND birthday!!.

In between all of this we had been looking for a house to buy!. put an offer in on one house. and it fell through... So we kept looking and found what was the "perfect house for us"

dec 17th 2009 we closed on our house! and our dreams came true!!. we are now living the "American dream"

Today Hali is 2 and a half!! and Gavin 5 months old! and i can not believe how much my life has changed, I love every crazy minute of it!!!. I have everything i could ever want and need!.

So it is now time for zachry to re enlist... we have been talking about a new duty station, and decided we wanted to live in Oklahoma.(anywhere) well at the time talking about it, their was 3 different places to go.(Perfect) Well that was last month.. now their is NOTHING in Oklahoma =( so now zachs new thing is GA. and i REALLY don't want GA. I would be happy with TX because that station is 2 1/2 hours away from my home town!.. anyways. so we aren't sure where we are going.. i just don't want to be here anymore.. I just can not stand this hospital anymore...
I took Hali to her 9 month apt and the doctor told me, at 9 months they don't need any shots, however Hali had to get one because when she went to previous apts they where out of that shot.. so she was only ONE behind.. till she turned a year old...
so i take her down to where they do shots.. he tells me she will get her 2Nd PVC and come back next month for the 3rd.. i said are you sure??.. and told him what the doctor told me. he said No I'm sure. i know what I'm doing. and looked over it. I said can you please DOUBLE check. it doesn't sound right. he said "i know its right but i will look for you and show you" well guess what!..Hali already had the 2Nd and just needed the 3rd!..Imagine that.. so if it wasn't for Hali's wonderful doctor stressing she only had to get ONE. Hali would of had more then needed!... They do that kind of stupid stuff all the time!.. and i know not EVERY hospital is perfect..but they mess up with EVERYONE! everything else at the doctors went great!!.. Except Hali lost weight...Hali is healthy as can be!.. the doctor was VERY impressed with how smart Hali was!.. i would say mama. Hali would say mam ma. i said Dada. Hali said Dada. i said puppy Hali said pupu. i said NO. she said NO NO NO. (and even pointed her finger)..
And the doctor asked me if she could see Hali walk. and put her on the floor..i said yeah if she will do it.. sure enough Hali took off.. cam walking up to me!.. i was so proud of her!!..
